The Mariposa, located at 601 Tennessee Street is inspired by a common San Francisco sight; the Bay Window. The building employs the bay window to maximize views, expand interior space and weave the modern architecture into the fabric of the residential Dogpatch District where it is located. The bays also transcend their functional purpose by lending themselves to the rhythmic and refined articulation of the buildings’ exterior. The result is a crisply modern, yet classically ordered work of architecture.
